Mumbai Screening of “Call Me Bae” Attracts Bollywood A-Listers

On Wednesday, Mumbai hosted a special screening of “Call Me Bae,” which drew a host of Bollywood celebrities, including Sara Ali Khan, Karan Johar, Ibrahim Ali Khan, Suhana Khan, Agastya Nanda, Khushi Kapoor, and Vedang Raina, among others.
In Ananya Panday’s digital debut series, an ensemble cast including Vir Das, Varun Sood, Gurfateh Pirzada, Vihaan Samat, Lisa Mishra, Muskkaan Jaferi, Niharika Lyra Dutt, and Mini Mathur will join her in prominent roles.
Last month, in August, the team unveiled the trailer for the show, thus giving fans a glimpse into the world of “Bae.” The footage, in turn, reveals Ananya’s character as someone from a wealthy family. However, a significant plot twist forces her to embrace a middle-class lifestyle and abandon her luxuries. Subsequently, she moves to Mumbai, where her real-life challenges commence.
Supported by Karan Johar’s Dharmatic Entertainment, the show will premiere on Amazon Prime Video starting September 6, 2024.
In other news, Sara Ali Khan’s upcoming project is Anurag Basu’s highly anticipated film, Metro…. In Dino. The movie features a star-studded cast including Aditya Roy Kapur, Fatima Sana Shaikh, Neena Gupta, and Ali Fazal. It is set to release in theaters on November 29, 2024.
